The Sisters of St. Ive's

The Sisters of St. Ive's

So these two are dressed like this as part of a prank they pulled years ago. But it is soooooo appropriate!

I’ve called them, “The sisters of St. Ive’s” since I met them 30 years ago! For decades they ran the most amazing florist shop in town on Wells Avenue. During that time they alway supported my projects including holding book signings for me as they were published. And I told a lot of stories about their huge accomplishments in the business. We’ve shared stories or raising kids, stories of family and stories of Reno. They retired in December but are still going strong in the community. And they just donated $300 to the effort to get this Broad Abroad back to Ireland.

What a surprise to get such a big donation that will help me get back to Ireland in June to collect stories as Erin’s Isle takes on bigger and bigger audiences worldwide.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Laurie Ann and Patty Sue! I hope you can visit me in Ireland!
