Erin Breen is an Emmy award-winning journalist, columnist and writer for television, radio and print who has put 25 years of professional experience to work honing a true talent for storytelling. And now her focus is on the stories of Ireland.
Erin’s Isle is a travel journal of her adventures as A Broad Abroad, seeking out hidden gems in Ireland.
Erin’s Isle is a sound-rich audio podcast posted on the internet, letting the Irish diaspora experience Ireland without even leaving their living rooms.
In addition shorter versions of that podcast have become part of the inflight entertainment on Aer Lingus flights to and from Ireland. They allow travelers a chance to add a few smaller stops to their journeys and explore the out-of-the-way adventures you could easily miss if she weren’t one step ahead of you.
Erin Meehan Breen was inducted into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame in August of 2011. She began her broadcasting career as a weathergirl in Eureka, California and over nearly three decades has worked in radio and television, both public and commercial. She was honored in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Erin Breen was awarded an Emmy for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences/Northern California Region for Outstanding Achievement in Daytime News for smaller markets in 2008-2009. She received the award as an anchor/reporter and writer for KTVN, Channel 2 in Reno, Nevada.
After getting her Master’s Degree at the National University of Ireland in Galway, she started traveling and telling stories of Ireland and that is what has become Erin’s Isle.
