A Sweet Christmas Indeed!

No doubt about it, this Christmas was a sweet one. I went home to Reno for the first time in more than a year and a half. I spent the holidays with my kids and friends there and my daughter and I made cookies.

Lots and lots of cookies!

Christmas cookies are one of those things that sound like fun when you start, but often your enthusiasm runs out before the cookies you are decorating do.  We made a day of it.

However I have to admit, I was very impressed to see that before I arrived, she and her housemate had already been hard at work in the kitchen....making these.

At first glance....I got that they were supposed to be trees. But it wasn't until she said it out loud that I got it. "They are Rice Crispy 'Trees'."  she said. "Get it?"
